Wednesday Night Bible Class

Join our Midweek Bible Study for spiritual recharge & community support. Deepen your faith through Scripture & fellowship. The week can grind you down.  We all need that midweek boost.  We offer Wednesday night Bible class for all ages, so keep your week going right. Bible class runs from 7:00 pm till about 7:35pm.  Adults meet in the auditorium together, but there are classes for children.  Follwing a short intermission, Bible class is followed by a short devotional for all in attendance. 

For adults, it provides a smaller, more relaxed setting than a Sunday service to study Scripture and connect with other believers.  And children get the opportunity to learn more than just a Sunday Bible Class can provide.

Is there a verse that says, "Thou shalt attend Bible study every Wednesday night"? No. But there are verses where brethren gathered at times in addition to Sunday (Acts 2:46; 12:12). And verses about elders and their duty to shepherd/teach/feed their flock (Acts 20:28; Titus 1:9ff; 1 Pet. 5:2). And verses reminding us to submit to their leadership in matters of judgment (Heb. 13:17). The Scriptures do mandate that believers are to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Pet 3:18). Believers are exhorted in Scripture to long for the pure milk of the Word (1 Pet 2:2). Scripture does place a unique value in the formal teaching of the Word itself as a means for the growth of Christians individually and corporately. Scripture also commands that believers be vitally connected to fellow members of Christ’s church (see Heb 3:12-15; 10:24-25).

It is nearly impossible to engage in these endeavors with excellence if one’s weekly involvement in the church life is limited to a ninety-minute Sunday worship service and nothing more. Involvement in a mid-week Bible study can serve as a means through which your growth in the Word and in ministry can occur. 

Wednesday Night Devotional

Following Bible Class, we all gather in the auditorium for a short devotional at 7:40.  We have announcements, sing a couple of songs, and have a couple of prayers, and then dismiss.
